Little Local is a youth entrepreneur market designed to help kids turn ideas into confidence.
We believe children learn best by doing — not just watching.
By creating, pricing, selling, and talking to real customers, kids develop independence, creativity, and communication skills that last far beyond the day of the market.
Our goal isn’t just to help kids make money.
It’s to help them believe in themselves.
Most kids are full of ideas — but rarely given a place to try them in the real world.
We wanted to create a safe, encouraging space where kids could:
• start a small business
• talk to real customers
• solve real problems
• experience responsibility
• feel proud of something they built
Little Local gives them that first step.
Not a competition.
Not a classroom.
A real experience.

Every child leaves with more than just sales. They learn:
• confidence speaking to strangers
• handling money
• problem solving
• creativity & ownership
• resilience if things don’t go perfectly
• pride in their work
For many kids, this becomes the moment they realize:
“I can actually do things on my own.”
This market is designed to be a real experience for your child — which means the booth is run by them. Children are expected to:
• speak with customers
• explain their product
• make the sales
• handle the money
Parents are required to stay at the booth and support, guide, and encourage when needed, but we ask that adults allow kids to take the lead in conversations and transactions.
Sometimes it may feel easier to jump in, but the confidence comes from them doing it themselves.
You’ll be right there watching it happen — and it’s usually the best part of the day.
No experience is required. We’ll help them along the way so they never feel stuck.
